Outside it is 350 C. Yeah, very hot indeed, and humid too. I was waiting for my blue lagoon drink to get something chilled at a local restaurant and scrolling down the internet to search for its origin. Well, the internet says, it is Andy MacElhone of New York Bar, Paris who made this drink in late 1960, or early ’70 for the first time. It has come a long long way I must say. And, why not? It’s sooooo refreshing. Truly. So thought of sharing the Blue Lagoon Recipe with you all. Trust me it is the easiest drink you might have ever made. This is a mocktail drink. But, if you ever want to make its cocktail version, you need to bring change to curacao syrup. You need to pick its liquor variation. That’s it.
Ingredients:
Lemon – 1 No. (cut in cubes)
Sugar Syrup – 1 ½ Tablespoon
Curacao Syrup – 1 ½ Tablespoon (non-alcoholic)
Ice Cubes – Adequate
Drinking Soda – Adequate
Procedure:
Take a tall glass. Put the lemon inside.
Add sugar syrup too.
Slightly crush it with the help of a pestle.
Add lots of ice cubes.
The next step is to add Curacao Syrup to it. Here I have taken the non-alcoholic one, but if you wish you may go for the alcoholic variation to make a cocktail blue lagoon drink.
Add Drinking Soda.
Stir well.
Garnish with mint leaves.
Conclusion
Serve your guests with this homemade drink, they will surely ask you for the secret Blue Lagoon Recipe. Welcome Summer in the coolest way.
