Strawberry & Guava Smoothie

The morning was quite dull today. So, I thought of giving it a pink hue. And, what could be more colorful than a glass of strawberry guava smoothie?  God knows who made it for the first time, but it’s super healthy and super super easy to make. An early morning treat made our entire day.

Let’s see how you too can prepare this in no time.

 

Ingredients:

Strawberries – 1 Cup

Ripe guava – 1 No.

Banana – 1 No.

Yogurt – ½ Cup (plain or vanilla/coconut yogurt for vegan strawberry guava smoothie)

Milk – ½ Cup (almond milk/coconut milk for vegan version)

Honey – 1 Tablespoon (optional for added sweetness)

Ice cubes – 4 Nos. per glass (optional for a colder smoothie)

 

Procedure:
Prepare the fruits:

Take the strawberries. Wash under a running stream. Hull them. Cut into halves.

Take the guava. Wash under a running stream. Peel off it. Remove the seeds. Chop into cubes.

Take the banana. Peel off it. Slice it.

 

Blend:

Take a blender. Add all the ingredients apart from the ice; strawberries, banana slices, guava cubes, honey, yogurt, and milk.

Blend it until it becomes smooth.

If you prefer a thick strawberry guava smoothie, just increase the quantity of yogurt and banana. If you like a thinner one, increase the quantity of milk.

Taste whether you are satisfied with the sweetness. If you need some more, you may add more honey.

 

Serving:

Take a tall glass.

Put crushed ice in it. Pour the smoothie.

Garnish it with strawberry slices.

Serve instantly.
