Ingredients:
All-purpose flour – 2/3 Cup
Cocoa powder – ½ Cup
Eggs – 6 Nos.
Sugar – 2/3 Cup
Vanilla essence – ½ Teaspoon
Whipping cream – 250 g
Butter/Oil – For Greasing
Powder sugar – ½ Cup (optional)
Procedure:
Prepare the dry ingredients:
Take a bowl.
Sieve the flour and the cocoa powder through a strainer.
Mix it well and keep it aside.
Prepare the cake batter:
Take the eggs in another large bowl.
Add sugar to it.
Whisk it with an electrical mixer. Let it become fluffy.
Add the vanilla essence.
Whisk it for some more seconds.
Now add the dry ingredients little by little and mix them with the cut and fold method.
Bake:
Take an 11 X 16-inch baking tray (you may use any size you can handle).
Grease the tray first with oil or butter.
Place a parchment sheet on it.
Again grease it.
Pour the cake batter on it.
Spread it evenly.
Bake it in a preheated oven at 2300 C for 4 minutes.
Let it cool.
Then remove the parchment sheet.
Prepare the center fill:
Whip the whipping cream until the hard peaks form.
Assemble:
Now spread the whipped cream on the surface of the cake.
Roll it with the help of a sushi mat or use a parchment sheet to do the same.
Keep the roll in the refrigerator for 20 minutes to set.
Remove the parchment sheet.
Roll it over the powdered sugar.
Slice it to your desired thickness.
Serve.
