mozarella cheese

Mozzarella Cheese

Yesterday there was a pizza party at my place. It was really at short notice. The kids of our family are super excited to have pizza. But unlike other children, they don’t prefer outside food. So, whatever they crave, they ask me to prepare, and as a foodie like me, I am always surprise-ready. But to my real surprise, I needed approximately half a kg of mozarella cheese to make them pizza; and I only had 200 grams of the same, a liter of milk, and some hours in my hand. What I needed more? I got a recipe that can turn a liter of milk into a kg of cheese overnight.

Let’s see how you too can prepare this overnight.

Ingredients:

Milk – 1 Liter

Butter – 3 Tablespoon (unsalted)

Mozarella cheese – 200 g (grated)

Corn flour – ½ Cup

Salt – 1 Teaspoon

Procedure:

Take the milk in a bowl and add the corn flour.

Whisk until the corn flour completely dissolves. You should leave no lump.

Add salt and mix well.

Put everything in a pot and set it on fire.

Add the unsalted butter.

Mix constantly.

When the milk starts heating up, add the mozarella cheese.

Keep stirring non-stop.

The butter and the cheese will melt, and the mix will become yellowish.

Keep stirring.

After a constant stirring, the mix will turn white. That’s the color of the mozarella cheese.

Lower the heat and keep stirring. You may see lumps. Don’t worry. It’s just because you added the grated cheese. It will surely disappear.

Keep stirring.

The mix will become thick.

Turn off the heat and transfer it to a cheese mould or a bowl where you want to set your cheese.

Keep it in the refrigerator overnight.

Your Homemade Mozarella Cheese is ready to be used.

Conclusion:

The kids were super happy, and so were we. Who doesn’t love tasty food after all? This quick recipe has saved a lot of emergency strikes in the kitchen. To be frank, I made this homemade mozzarella cheese out of my previous batch. I have stopped buying mozarella cheese since I got this recipe.
