no yeast bread recipe

No-Yeast Bread

I am fond of breads, yes I admit it, I am. But wheat or refined flour is not always a ‘Go Go’. This recipe is one of a kind. It’s a no yeast bread recipe with no wheat at all—feeling inquisitive? Natural, natural. It has semolina as the base ingredient.

This semolina is a strange ingredient I must say. History registered that semolina originated in the Stone Age. Can you believe this? Yes, it’s true. It is the durum wheat from which semolina is being prepared. This wheat is being coarsely grounded which is called semolina. There are multiple recipes from the ancient era that say about the usage of semolina. How thrilling! And you may literally come up with a tasteful recipe using this single ingredient. Then why not ‘the bread’?

Let’s see how you too can prepare this bread in your kitchen.

Ingredients:

Semolina – 1½  Cup

Yogurt – 1 Cup

Water – ½ Cup

Sugar – 1 Teaspoon

Salt – 1 Teaspoon

Oil – 2 Teaspoon

Milk – ½ Cup

Baking powder – ½ Teaspoon

Fruit salt – ½ Teaspoon

Procedure:

Preheat the oven @ 1750C.

Now take a grinder.

Powder the semolina in the grinder.

Add beaten yogurt to the powdered semolina.

Mix well and let it sit for 5 minutes.

Now add water, sugar, salt, oil, and milk.

Give it a good blend.

Add the baking powder and fruit salt.

Whisk until the batter becomes fluffy.

As the air bubble pops up on the surface transfer it to a baking mould.

Now bake this in the pre-heated oven for 40 minutes.

Bring it out from the mould.

Cover it for half an hour and let it cool down a bit.

Slice and serve.

I have cut the bread into 10 slices.

Conclusion:

And one extra tip I want to add is that you should follow the measurements accurately. This recipe relies on the measurements. You may use coconut milk and coconut yogurt to make the bread vegan. Choice is yours.

Enjoy!
